When we forgive

And Then Came Hope is the story of Joan Brown's life, her challenges growing up during the Depression and coming of age and grace, of marrying and raising a family, and of battles with cancer and Parkinson's disease. And in the midst of this, it is the story of a woman who found God.

AND THEN CAME HOPE.

Walk with Joan as she learns to live in the present moment, to walk with Jesus in the midst of turmoil, to love those who have hurt her, and to forgive them.

AND THEN CAME HOPE.

Joan Brown was born in Oklahoma during the Depression and spent her formative years in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana, and finally Texas. A life-long Christian, Joan's early experiences helped shape her faith; and her realization, at the age of 44, of God's love began an incredible journey.

Joan is dedicated to helping people understand that the love of Christ is available to all of us. All we need do is open the door and invite Him into our hearts. And when we do, He gives us the peace He promised, no matter what is going on in our lives.

Joan and her husband Jerry have been married for fifty-five years; they have three children and eight grandchildren.
